URGOCLEAN Ag is presented in the form of a sterile, non-woven layer of highly absorbent and cohesive hydrodetersive polyabsorbent fibres. This dressing consists of joining polyacrylate fibres by thermal agglutination which, in a plane parallel to the wound surface according to the structured pattern, gives UrgoClean Ag its specific properties of absorption and capture of fibrinous residues from the wound as well as its tensile strength. The hydrodetersive dressing is composed of a microadherent healing matrix (TLC: Lipid Colloid Technology) impregnated with silver. TLC-Ag provides antibacterial action and gels easily, thus contributing to the drainage of residues. In addition, it allows easy application and removal of the dressing.

Indications:

UrgoClean Ag is indicated for the local treatment of chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers) and acute wounds (burns, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds) exudative at risk or with signs of local infection from the debridement phase.

Caution:

Treatment with UrgoClean Ag should be carried out under medical supervision.

The use of this dressing does not eliminate the need for appropriate systemic antibacterial treatment of infected wounds, in accordance with local policy. .

UrgoClean Ag microadhesive healing matrix with silver (TLC-Ag) adheres to latex gloves. Therefore, it is recommended to handle the dressing with care, avoiding any contact with the microadhesive side or using sterile tweezers.

Concomitant use with other local treatments is not recommended.

Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurements, e.g. EEG and ECG.

Healthcare professionals should be aware that there are significantly limited data and information on the prolonged and repeated use of silver dressings, especially in children and neonates.

In the absence of specific clinical data, use in pregnant or breast-feeding women is not recommended. .

Single use only, individual box. Reusing a dressing may carry a risk of infection.

Check that the sterile shield is intact before use.

Do not re-sterilize.

To discard, follow current protocol. Discard all unused parts of the dressing.

Contraindications:

If there is sensitivity to silver.

UrgoClean Ag is not suitable for use as a surgical sponge for heavily bleeding wounds.

Do not use UrgoClean Ag combined with hydrogen peroxide, organomercurial antiseptics and hexamidine.

Do not use in patients who need to be examined by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
