Absorbent dressing based on calcium alginate, hydrocolloid particles and silver, absorbs exudate, indicated for wounds at risk of infection, facilitates debridement and healing, one-piece removal (the dressing does not fall apart when removed), with hemostatic properties.

Indications:

It is indicated for wounds with moderate to profuse exudate at risk of infection (partial to full thickness wounds, including postoperative and traumatic wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns, cavitated wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers). ulcers and grafts UrgoSorb Ag contains alginate and can therefore be used for small, bleeding superficial wounds.

Contraindications:

To control heavy bleeding and in patients with known sensitivity to alginates or silver.

Broad-spectrum antibacterial, including ARDS, exudate control, vertical absorption protecting periwound skin from maceration, moist healing, haemostatic properties, debridement capacity, easy to apply and remove, atraumatic dressing renewal, can be used under compression, clinically proven.

Action:

In contact with exudate, sodium and calcium ions are exchanged between the wound and the dressing. UrgoSorb AG turns into a gel and maintains a moist environment favourable to the healing process. UrgoSorb AG absorbs exudate, softens and drains necrotic debris and promotes primary haemostasis of acute and chronic bleeding wounds. As wound exudate is absorbed and UrgoSorb Ag forms a gel, silver ions are gradually released from within the dressing and at the wound interface. This helps to prevent bacterial contamination of the dressing and also prevents bacteria from penetrating the wound thanks to the barrier effect.

The delivery of this product will take approximately 8/10 working days.
