Urgoclean is a dressing indicated for the debridement (cleaning) phase of the wound. It is a hydrodetersive, absorbent and microadherent dressing (does not stick to the wound), composed of hydrodetersive polyacrylate fibers with an acrylic core with a TLC (Lipid Colloid Technology) microadherent layer. It has hemostatic properties.

Indications:

UrgoClean is indicated for the treatment of wounds with exudate, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, burns, skin abrasions, traumatic wounds and post-surgical wounds.

Contraindications:

Antiseptics containing organic mercury (Mercryl Lauryl, Dermachrome, Merfene) or hexamidine (Hexomédine) and hydrogen peroxide.

Benefits:

In contact with exudate, the hydrodetersive polyacrylate fibres gel, expand and bind to necrotic tissue and fibrin, which they absorb and drain to contribute to its elimination (autolytic debridement). It has vertical absorption (retains exudate to prevent lateral diffusion) and exudate retention (average absorption of 1,700 g of exudate per m2), single-piece extraction (no fragments of the dressing remain on the wound bed to be removed). Bacteria retention, healing in a moist environment, fibroblast proliferation, hemostatic properties, high adaptability to the wound bed thanks to its soft microadhesion. Can remain in place on the wound for up to 7 days. Does not adhere to the wound (does not damage newly formed tissue). Painless removal for the patient, clinically proven.
