Algoplaque is a hydrocolloid dressing that provides a moist environment, is water-resistant and antibacterial, and is semipermeable. The inner layer is composed of hydrocolloid particles embedded in an elastomer network. The outer layer, impermeable to water and bacteria, is a semipermeable polyurethane backing.

Indications:

Algoplaque is indicated for the local care of chronic wounds with healthy periwound skin in a granulated state.

Contraindications:

It should not be used when the wound shows signs of infection or in cases where the periwound skin is fragile or damaged.

Benefits:Healing in a moist environment, absorption and drainage of exudate, atraumatic removal, doing it tangentially, stretching the dressing parallel to the wound. Air permeable and impermeable to water and bacteria. Good management of exudate, easy placement on the wound, good adhesion, preventing it from coming loose due to friction or incontinence, very adaptable, can be used in difficult areas such as the hip or heel, does not need a secondary dressing, allows showering.

Action:

Upon contact with the wound, Algoplaques hydrocolloid particles progressively absorb the exudates, increasing in size until forming a soft, moist gel that is favorable to the healing process in terms of hydration, temperature and pH. This non-adherent gel prevents scar tissue from being damaged during dressing changes.

The delivery of this product will take approximately 8/10 working days.
