Maintaining your Klmed wheelchair is crucial to ensuring its durability, safety and comfort. Here are some important tips and information:

Frame: check that all parts and screws are loose or not. Wipe the entire frame with a soft, dry kitchen towel to clean off water and external pollutants in order to prevent it from oxidizing.

Brakes: Check that the brakes are working properly and that there is no excessive wear on the pads.

Upholstery: Check that the upholstery is in good condition and that there are no tears or excessive wear. They should be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning.

Warnings:

Wheelchairs are used by people who have difficulty walking, either because of a physical disability, illness or injury. They provide mobility and independence for those who are unable to get around on their own. If long-distance use is necessary, it should always be used accompanied by someone. If obstacles are encountered, the companion should grip the handle with both hands, step on the end of the wheelchair tube, tilt the wheelchair backwards to lift the front castor and then step over the obstacles.

The wheelchair can carry 125 kg on a flat road. If the user weighs more than 120kg, you should be careful when purchasing, as the chair may have a shorter lifespan and behave differently due to the strain.

The brakes are used for going up and down or stopping to stabilize, they are not used to hold the wheelchair in motion, especially when going up or down a slope, otherwise there could be a risk of tipping over. Never brake abruptly on a slope so that the chair does not tip forward.
